Alif New Beginnings presents
Markaz e Yaqeen - Pakistan Independence Day 2023
We are honoured to be celebrating Pakistan Independence Day on the 14th of August, 2023, with our newest work, ‘The Aunties’ Truck Art Mobility Scooters, which we produced in collaboration with Truck Artists in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
'The Aunties' are members of the UN Muslim Women for Peace group based in Luton and have been great supporters of our Arts Council England and Bedfordshire & Luton Community Foundation funded project 'Clouds of Blessings'.
Thank you to our partners, UK Centre for Carnival Arts, United Nations Association Luton Branch and Luton Shopmobility.
Markaz e Yaqeen - Pakistan Independence Day 2022
In 2022 we marked Pakistan Independence Day with a showcase of our work at the Global Excellence Award Ceremony hosted By the International Business and Professional Corporation (IBPC) in London. The event welcomed guests including local Counsellors, The Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Dr. Faisal Aziz Ahmed.
In partnership with the International Business and Professional Corporation (IBPC) we celebrated Pakistan Independence Day and Iqbal Day with children from Newham who learnt about Pakistani history, symbols and emblems with our recyclable costume making activity.
We also worked with children from the Iqbal School in Milton Keynes, for a creative day of learning about Pakistani history, symbols and emblem with our recyclable costume making activity.
We are an arts organisation with an aim to promote and celebrate the culture and heritage of Pakistan across all art disciplines.
We specialise in creating costumes and events where people come together to create beautiful processions full of colour, music, community spirit and joy.
We create cultural opportunities for everyone through our community outreach activities and welcome people from diverse backgrounds and with varying experiences, abilities and needs.
Equality and diversity are at the heart of everything we do.
